Medical seats to increase by 30 percent

Medical aspirants will have a better chance of securing a seat in state colleges next academic year as the number of medical seats in the state might increase by an average of 30 percent, thanks to the new Medical Council of India rules.

MCI recommends 500 medical colleges in next five years

There is an urgent need for atleast 500 medical colleges in India and that too in the next five years, urged the Medical Council of India (MCI). Further to that the MCI has also recommended that the proposed new medical colleges can be established now with a minimum requirement of only 10 acres of land and more than 250 students.
