The 12th Elets Healthcare Innovation Summit & Awards, held on 22nd February 2024 at The Lalit Ashok in Bengaluru, showcased the latest advancements and initiatives in the healthcare sector, with a special focus on Karnataka’s pioneering efforts in innovation and medical education. Organised by Elets Technomedia, with knowledge partner eHealth, the event brought together healthcare professionals, policymakers, industry leaders, and innovators to exchange ideas, share best practices, and recognize outstanding contributions to the field.
In his inaugural address, Dr. Sharanprakash Rudrappa Patil, Hon’ble Minister of Medical Education, Government of Karnataka, set the tone for the summit by emphasising the state’s commitment to fostering innovation and advancement in healthcare. He underscored the importance of collaborative efforts in driving progress and improving the quality of life for millions. His words echoed the sentiment of the esteemed congregation, which gathered to explore new avenues for healthcare excellence against the backdrop of Bengaluru’s vibrant entrepreneurial spirit. Reflecting on Karnataka’s rich tapestry of culture and innovation, Dr. Patil highlighted, “As we convene in the dynamic city of Bangalore, renowned for its spirit of entrepreneurial vigour, we are reminded of the immense potential and progress of the healthcare landscape. The state is emerging as a trailblazer in healthcare innovation.”
He highlighted Karnataka’s achievements in leveraging digital solutions and extending services to underserved communities by adding, “Through strategic investments, progressive policies, and synergetic partnerships, Karnataka has set new benchmarks for excellence in medical education and healthcare delivery. From leveraging digital solutions to extending services to underserved communities, the state has demonstrated a steadfast resolve to meet the evolving needs of its population.”
Bringing the audience’s focus, he highlighted, “As we embark on this transformative journey together, let us seize this opportunity to reflect on our achievements, address challenges, and chart a course towards a healthier, more equitable future.”
