With eight hospitals and 2,211 beds across northern and eastern India, Paras Healthcare’s public issue comes as the company returns to profitability, reporting ₹1,606 crore in FY2026 revenue and ₹44 crore in net profit.

Paras Healthcare, a multi-specialty hospital chain with a presence across northern and eastern India, has launched its ₹1,450-crore initial public offering (IPO), bringing its expansion strategy, financial performance and valuation into focus for healthcare industry stakeholders and investors.
The IPO opened for subscription on October 21 and closes on October 23, 2026. The company has fixed a price band of ₹660–₹693 per equity share, translating to an implied market capitalisation of approximately ₹7,498 crore at the upper end of the band.

The offering comprises a fresh issue of ₹500 crore and an offer for sale (OFS) of ₹950 crore. While the fresh issue will provide capital to the company, the OFS will allow existing shareholders to sell part of their holdings.
According to the IPO disclosures, the fresh issue proceeds are intended primarily for debt repayment, including borrowings at the company and its subsidiary, with the balance allocated towards general corporate purposes.
Eight Hospitals, 2,211 Beds Across Multiple Markets
Paras Healthcare operates eight hospitals with an aggregate capacity of 2,211 beds, serving patients across five states and one Union Territory. Its network spans Gurugram and Panchkula in Haryana; Patna and Darbhanga in Bihar; Ranchi in Jharkhand; Udaipur in Rajasthan; Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh; and Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir.
The company provides tertiary and quaternary healthcare services across multiple specialties, positioning itself in markets where demand for organised hospital infrastructure and specialised medical services continues to expand.
Its geographically distributed network provides a platform for growth, although the operating performance of individual hospitals varies with their maturity, occupancy levels and local market dynamics.
For hospital operators, the challenge extends beyond adding beds. Sustained growth depends on recruiting and retaining clinicians, improving utilisation, managing operating costs and generating sufficient patient volumes to support the financial requirements of each facility.
Revenue Crosses ₹1,600 Crore as Profitability Returns
Paras Healthcare reported revenue from operations of ₹1,606 crore in FY2025–26, compared with ₹1,294 crore in FY2024–25 and ₹1,129 crore in FY2023–24.
The company also returned to profitability in FY2025–26, reporting a net profit of ₹44 crore after recording losses of ₹58 crore in FY2024–25 and ₹15 crore in FY2023–24.
The financial trajectory highlights a recovery following a period in which investments in newer hospitals weighed on earnings.
Key financial indicators
| Financial metric | FY2023–24 | FY2024–25 | FY2025–26 |
| Revenue from operations | ₹1,129 crore | ₹1,294 crore | ₹1,606 crore |
| Net profit/loss | -₹15 crore | -₹58 crore | ₹44 crore |
The latest results indicate improving operating performance, but the sustainability of the recovery will depend on how effectively the company increases utilisation across its network and brings newer facilities towards mature-hospital profitability.
What the IPO Valuation Signals
At the upper price band, Paras Healthcare’s implied market capitalisation of approximately ₹7,498 crore represents a substantial valuation relative to its FY2025–26 net profit of ₹44 crore.
The valuation places attention on the company’s future earnings potential, including the performance of newer hospitals, capacity utilisation and its ability to improve margins across the network.
The hospital sector typically requires significant capital for infrastructure, equipment, clinical talent and expansion. As a result, investors assess not only current profitability but also the pace at which hospitals mature, generate operating cash flows and contribute to consolidated earnings.
Paras Healthcare’s return to profitability is an important development, but the company must sustain earnings growth while managing debt, lease obligations and the capital requirements associated with its expansion plans.
Growth Opportunities and Execution Challenges
India’s organised hospital sector is benefiting from demand for specialised care, increasing healthcare expenditure and the expansion of private-sector medical infrastructure. Regional hospital chains can participate in this growth by strengthening their presence in underserved markets and improving the utilisation of existing facilities.
For Paras Healthcare, the immediate opportunity includes increasing occupancy at hospitals with available capacity and improving the contribution of newer facilities. Expansion into additional markets could further increase its reach, but new hospitals generally require time to establish referral networks, attract clinicians and build patient volumes.
The company’s ability to balance expansion with financial discipline will therefore remain an important consideration. Debt reduction, operating efficiency, clinician retention and timely collections from institutional and government-linked payers will also influence its future financial performance.

A Financial Turnaround at an Important Juncture
Paras Healthcare’s IPO arrives at a point when the company has returned to profitability and is seeking public-market capital to strengthen its balance sheet.
Its eight-hospital network and FY2026 revenue of ₹1,606 crore provide a substantial operating base. However, sustaining profitability and generating stronger returns from its hospital infrastructure will be central to its next phase of growth.
For the wider healthcare industry, the offering also highlights a key business consideration: expanding hospital capacity is only one part of building a successful healthcare network. Converting that capacity into consistent patient volumes, better utilisation and sustainable earnings ultimately determines the long-term economics of hospital operations.
