Maverick Simulation Solutions, a pioneer in advanced medical simulation technologies, has successfully installed Delhi NCR’s first Anatomage Table at Vardhman Mahavir Medical College (VMMC) & Safdarjung Hospital, Delhi NCR. The landmark installation was inaugurated by Punya Salila Srivastava, Secretary (Health), during the launch of the hospital’s Virtual Clinical Anatomy Laboratory — a first-of-its-kind initiative aimed at reshaping how anatomy and clinical sciences are taught and applied in healthcare practice.
The Anatomage Table is recognised globally as one of the most sophisticated 3D real-tissue-based anatomy visualisation systems. It enables users to conduct virtual dissections, explore high-resolution 3D human anatomy, and correlate radiological and cross-sectional imaging with real anatomical structures. Designed to advance both medical education and clinical research, the platform offers interactive, detailed, and repeatable exploration—overcoming the traditional challenges of cadaver-based learning.
Beyond the classroom, the Anatomage Table supports hospitals and clinicians in pre-surgical planning, case-based analysis, and patient education. Visualising patient-specific anatomy in 3D, it enhances diagnostic precision, facilitates multidisciplinary collaboration, and allows medical teams to make more informed clinical decisions.
Anuj Chahal, Founder of Maverick Simulation Solutions, expressed pride in bringing this breakthrough technology to one of India’s premier medical institutions. “Partnering with VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital to integrate the Anatomage Table into medical education and patient care represents a significant milestone. Our mission is to empower healthcare professionals with world-class simulation technologies that elevate learning, drive clinical excellence, and improve patient outcomes,” he said.
Dr. Vandana Mehta, Director Professor and Head of Anatomy at VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital, emphasised the educational impact of the new system. “This technology will revolutionise the way anatomy is taught and learned. Through immersive 3D visualisation, students and clinicians can gain deeper, more precise insights into human anatomy, improving clinical correlation and advancing research,” she noted.
With this installation, VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital becomes the first medical college in Delhi NCR to adopt such cutting-edge anatomy visualisation technology, reinforcing its commitment to innovation and excellence in medical education. The inauguration also included the launch of the hospital’s Burns OPD Block, featuring advanced dressing suites, a 10-bed emergency unit, and specialised rehabilitation facilities, further enhancing patient-centric care.
