Fortis Hospital Noida today launched a Comprehensive Cardiac Sciences Department under the leadership of Fortis Escorts Heart Institute (FEHI), offering comprehensive and superior cardiac care to the patients of Noida and Western U.P. To respond to the growing cardiac emergencies in the region, the hospital introduced a cardiac helpline number, 8800496677 that would be manned by qualified cardiac staff 24×7. The hospital will offer free ambulance services to patients for emergency cardiac cases from Noida, Greater Noida and neighbourhood areas of Indirapuram, Ghaziabad and Vaishalli.

It is estimated that by 2020, cardiovascular disease will be the cause of over 40 per cent deaths. Sedentary lifestyle, stressful work conditions and compromised diet are leading factors in precipitating heart disease risk. It is increasingly affecting younger people and women over the last 10-15 years, underscoring the need for continuous advances in cardiac treatment. The onus therefore lies amongst each one of us to alleviate this potential burden by propagating the need for a healthy lifestyle and in creating a robust system across the full spectrum of cardiac care; from prevention to treatment, of cardiovascular diseases.

Dr. Somesh Mittal, Zonal Director, Fortis Healthcare Ltd said, Fortis Hospital Noida prides itself in being a comprehensive multi-specialty advanced tertiary care hospital with one of the highest patient satisfaction programs in the Western UP region. After a decade of successful operations, we are introducing comprehensive cardiac care that will offer round-the-clock services at par with International care to improve treatment outcomes.
