The Wockhardt Hospitals group is foraying into Delhi. Its 250 bed facility in Delhi will be operational by 2009. The group also has a second hospital coming up in Kolkata, to be operational in 2008. The Delhi hospital will have specialties like cardiology, orthopedics, and neurology, along with minimal access treatment. The new centre in Kolkata will have women’s health also, in addition to the other specialties. The hospital group will also be strongly focusing on critical care. The group has also been setting up hospitals at tier II cities like Surat, Rajkot, Nagpur, and Bhopal. These hospitals typically have 150-200 beds.
