Private firms to open medical colleges
Private sector healthcare companies have been allowed by the Medical Council of India to start medical colleges to address the shortage in the number of seats.
Railways to Set up 18 Medical, 7 Nursing Colleges
The Indian railways is looking to greatly improve its medical facilities by using the public-private partnership model. It proposes to establish 18 medical colleges attached to existing railway hospitals through PPP.
