Preparations for eHEALTH India 2008 are on at full throttle. And the huge interest in this unique platform for the Health IT community
Nasdaq-listed Cognizant Technology Solutions, which has major operations in India, and Bangalore-based Wipro Technologies has been ranked among the 100 largest healthcare IT providers in the US.
IBM, in collaboration with the Nuclear Threat Initiative’s (NTI) Global Health and Security Initiative and the Middle East Consortium on Infectious Disease Surveillance (MECIDS), has created a unique technology that standardizes the method of sharing health information and automates the analysis of infectious disease outbreaks, in order to help contain diseases and minimize their impact.
The government plans to invest INR 750 crore to develop health centres in partnership with health majors such as Apollo Group and trauma care centres like Emergency Management and Research Institute (EMRI), Hyderabad. And nearly 140 trauma care centres will be developed along the 6,500 km long north-south and east-west corridors of the four to six lane express highway.
