Omega Healthcare, provider of healthcare BPO and KPO services, has announced growth plans for its Indian operations over the next 18-24 months. The Company plans to invest over $14 million to expand its Bangalore and Chennai facilities and will more than double its employee base to 3,000.
Perot Systems, the second largest solution providers for the healthcare vertical in the US, having a $1.25 billion business in the healthcare industry, recently set up shop in Tamil Nadu.
In India, the solution provider now has set-ups in Chennai and Coimbatore (in Tamil Nadu) apart from ones in Bangalore and Noida.
The Hindujas Group currently holding a land bank of around 1,000 acre in the spread across India, plans to enter the country’s booming health-care sectors.

Sobha Renaissance Information Technology (SRIT), a Bangalore based global software products and solutions provider, recently announced the setting up of a joint venture (JV) company in China called Sunpa Sobha Software (China) Ltd with ‘Yunnan Sunpa Image Tel Tech Co. Ltd (Sunpa)’ as its JV partner. Headquartered in Kunming, Sunpa Sobha Software (China) Ltd. will have operating branches in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen.
Tanzania is planning to tie up with two Bangalore based hospitals to provide telemedicine service in Tanzania.
