Robosoft’s Robuter prototype French robotic specialist Robosoft has demonstrated a prototype service robot which can help elderly and handicapped people stay at home.
The robot, launched at Microsoft’s Innovation Day in Brussels at the end of 2007, is a home-centric
robot, which combines the internet and robotics technology to provide daily-life services to people staying at home.

The recently introduced Clinical Establishments (Registration and Regulation) Bill, 2007 has drawn concerns from the healthcare industry. The Bill aims for a national footprint by providing for the registration and regulation of clinical establishments in the country with a view to prescribe minimum standards of facilities and services which may be provided by them.
