The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) today said that the country has recorded 38,949 fresh cases in the past 24 hours. It informed that India’s active caseload is now 4,30,422 and active cases were found to be 1.39% of the total Covid-19 cases.

MoHFW said that India’s weekly positivity rate is presently at 2.14%, and the daily positivity rate is 1.99%, less than 3% for 25 consecutive days. It also informed that 3,01,83,876 people have recovered from the viral infection across India as 40,026 patients recovered in a day. The country’s recovery rate has increased to 97.28%, the health ministry added.

India, according to MoHFW, has administered 39.53 crore vaccine doses under the nationwide vaccination programme. Also, it said that the country’s testing capacity has been augmented as 44.00 crore tests were conducted.
