Markforged to Organise Webinar on 3D Printing in Medical Industry

Markforged Monotech

The medical industry has come a long way with interventions that have improved the quality of life in societies across the globe. However, the industry will need to re-imagine the manufacturing space for attaining a quantum leap for the healthcare sector. The case for pursuing manufacturing excellence is now more powerful as medical device equipment manufacturers are seen to be confronted with new challenges triggered by the pandemic that can cause massive fluctuations in demand. Manufacturers who make ventilators, imaging equipment, PPE, among other items are finding themselves in a position where they cannot react fast enough to the growing demand, nor pivot when the demand changes to other products.

“Markforged recognises that the ability to adapt quickly to the market is the key to the success of medical industry players. Our ability to change and the nimbleness we exhibit as we adapt to change quickly is the key to our future. Our 3D printers enable this key factor to adapt and facilitate medical device equipment manufacturers to make ventilators, imaging equipment, PPE, and other items,” a company spokesperson has said.
