Delhi swine flu update: 18 more test positive, total 1,351
Eighteen people tested positive for swine flu in the national capital on Wednesday, taking the number of those infected to 1,351 this year, an official said. The city has seen a spurt in the Influenza A (H1N1 virus) cases this year. In 2012, only 78 swine flu cases and one death were reported.
Four people from Himachal Pradesh have so far succumbed to swine flu this year, an official said on Wednesday. Two patients of H1N1 virus died at Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital in Shimla while two passed away at PGIMER in Chandigarh, Principal Secretary (Health) Ali Raza Rizvi said in a statement. He said swine flu cases in Himachal had fallen significantly in the past few days.
