India is becoming a hub for telemedicine centre. Low cost products are helping developing countries for spreading telemedicine. According to Michael Nerlich, President, International Society for Telemedicine and eHealth, low cost products are promoting telemedicine in developing countries. Telemedicine and eHealth are playing an important role in providing quality health care to the people of all over world. The 12th International Conference of the society would be held at Chennai from November 2, 2007. the two-day conference will bring global experts in telemedicine to highlight the cutting edge technology. ISRO is providing the back up network for telemedicine centres.
