The Ministry of Health, Rwanda has launched a Telemedicine Project that will allow doctors to conduct their medical services through online.

India is becoming a hub for telemedicine centre. Low cost products are helping developing countries for spreading telemedicine.
The first international conference on telemedicine will held in Chennai, India in November 2007. Apollo Hospitals, Sankara Nethralaya and Sri Ramachandra Medical University will sponsor the conference.
