The General Authority for Health Services of Abu Dhabi in partnership with ITQAN has selected InfoLogix to provide a mobile technology computing platform in Abu Dhabi. Under this agreement, InfoLogix will provide a healthcare mobility solution encompassing more than 600 mobile point-of-care technology devices, to support the implementation of a Cerner healthcare information system across five hospitals. In the first, the company will deploy RFID based solutions. According to the report of The Enquirer, nationwide hospitals are spending hundreds of millions of dollars a year on technology, trying to differentiate themselves from competitors and keep up with patient demands. In Mercy Hospital, a nurse can use a touch screen on the new BedBoard system to indicate that a room is clean and ready for another patient.
