The Swasthya Chintan Shivir, a two-day health conclave, will be inaugurated by Dr Mansukh Mandaviya, the Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, on 14th July 2023 in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. Organized by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the Central Council of Health and Family Welfare, the event will witness the participation of Dr Bharati Pravin Pawar and Prof. SP Singh Baghel, the Ministers of State for Health and Family Welfare, along with health ministers from various states and union territories. Notable attendees will also include senior officials from the Health Ministry and states.

The conclave will commence with the presentation of the Action Taken Report from the 14th Convention of the Central Council of Health and Family Welfare. Subsequently, the sessions will delve into different aspects of healthcare in India, with a special focus on four key components of Ayushman Bharat: Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY), Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM), Health and Wellness Centres, and Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission (PM-ABHIM).

Thematic sessions will highlight critical topics such as the National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme, the eradication of measles and rubella, and the implementation of the PCPNDT Act in India. Discussions will also revolve around the significance of the Public Health Management Cadre and the status of medical, nursing, and allied health education across the country.

Other notable topics of discussion will include the National Organ Transplant Programme, the District Residency Programme, the burden of non-communicable diseases, and the challenges posed by Sickle Cell Disease.

With the aim of addressing healthcare challenges and exploring opportunities for building a healthier nation, the Swasthya Chintan Shivir will foster interactive sessions with stakeholders to arrive at effective solutions.
