India recorded 30,093 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, its lowest in 125 days, the health ministry said in a statement. According to the ministry, the country’s active caseload stands at 4,06,130, the lowest in 117 days, and the active cases constitute 1.30% of the total Corona cases.

According to the health ministry, India witnessed 3,03,53,710 total recoveries from the Covid infections as 45,254 people recovered in the past 24 hours, and the recovery rate increased to 97.37%. It also informed that India’s weekly positivity rate remained below 5% as it stands at 2.06%, and the daily positivity rate at 1.68%, less than 3% for 29 consecutive days.

Under the nationwide vaccination programme, India has administered 41.18 crore vaccine doses until now. Besides, the country’s testing capacity ramped up and 44.73 crore tests were conducted, the union health ministry also said.
