The government has decided that it will open up vaccination for all citizens above 18 years of age from May 1.
This is in a bid to boost the Covid-19 vaccination drive in the country, the government announced on Monday.
The government said that it is a part of a “liberalised and accelerated” phase-3 strategy of the Covid-19 vaccination drive from May 1.
Everyone above the age of 18 to be eligible to get Covid-19 vaccine, said the government.
The government has announced the drive after a meeting that was chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday. “India is vaccinating people at world record pace and we will continue this with even greater momentum,” Modi said.
