PD Hinduja National Hospital and Medical Research Centre has became India’s first hospital to be conferred with the Green and Clean Hospital Platinum Certificate by Bureau Veritas, a renowned international certification and assessment agency.

The Platinum certificate granted by Bureau Veritas is of the highest rank in this category and it underscores the hospital’s sustained effort towards working together in harmony with the environment and implementing various measures that focus on developing a clean and hygienic system within the hospital.

“I would like to congratulate our employees for contributing to our vision of providing quality healthcare to all that come to our hospital. I am grateful to Bureau Veritas for this prestigious certification, said Gautam Khanna, CEO, PD Hinduja Hospital & MRC, after receiving the certification.

The hospital was audited on standards for leadership and commitment; legal compliances like statutory regulations; BioMedical waste management; environmental sustainability by meaning of water, energy and carbon footprints; hospital infection control; hygiene and sanitisation; food hygiene or safety; health and safety to name a few. The internal audits were also measured.

The staff at the hospital first underwent a training for these standards set by Bureau Veritas and AHPI, then they worked towards the compliance of these standards before the audit was conducted in September this year.

This certification marks an important benchmark for Hinduja Hospital and its strive to reach and provide quality healthcare services to our patients.
