M. V. Hospital for Diabetes and Diabetic research center has today completed its 60 yrs of pioneering work in the field of diabetology.
M V Hospital is a WHO collaborating center in the prevention and control of diabetes in India and would continue in the same capacity. The hospital has treated over 3lakh patients from all over the country and has been in the vanguard in innovative research such as link of Diabetes with Tuberculosis etc.
The Governor of Tamil Nadu Dr. K Rosaiah has lauded the services rendered by M. V Diabetes Hospital at a function in Chennai, organized to mark the Diamond Jubilee, and attended by renowned Diabetologists from all over the world.
Dr Vijay Vishwanathan, MD highlighted the role of the institution in providing higher education in the field of Diabetes. On this occasion a Diabetes Control Programme along with the Indian Red Cross Society and Madras School of Social Work was launched by H E DR Rosaiah Governor of Tamil Nadu.
