Tieto is intending to present a prototype for a new mobile ICT system for doctors and healthcare staff at the healthcare conference Vitalis 2010. The system will help eliminate time-consuming administrative tasks involved in operation planning, while also speeding up access to important patient information. This solution is available for Apple’s new tablet PC iPad and the first pilot project is planned to start in the autumn. Tieto has delivered healthcare and welfare mobile solutions for several years and runs many projects aimed at improving the usability of applications. The solutions are powered by a variety of technologies and are always based on the users’ need for practical work tools. Tieto’s existing operation planning tool Provisio has been used as the basis for its new prototype. It is a completely digital tool covering every aspect of patient treatment associated with operations. Tieto helps healthcare and welfare organizations to improve the quality and efficiency of their services. We enable our customers to optimize processes, reduce waiting times, secure the flow of information, make high quality decisions and empower citizens. We are the leading healthcare and welfare ICT provider in the Nordic countries with a strong presence in Germany and the Netherlands.
