In an effort to create standardisation of nursing skill assessment, Wockhardt Hospitals Group, India’s leading chain of superspeciality hospitals has launched Nursing Skill Test (NST) a unique online way to test the basic domain knowledge of prospective nurses seeking employment with the group.

Wockhardt has launched it with the help of Careers India, a leading workforce assessment services company in the country.

Under the NST, any nurse seeking a job at Wockhardt Hospitals can go to the nearest designated web centre and log on to https://www.careersindia.com/nursing and answer 70 multiple choice questions in 47 minutes. The questions will range from topics like basic nursing skills medical surgical nursing, child health nursing, mental health nursing, midwifery to spoken language uation.

After completing the test candidates will be given immediate access to their “individual assessment report”. This report is designed to provide candidates with modulewise percentile scores.

The percentile scores reflect the candidate”s basic knowledge and performance in the test with respect to the required areas based on the scores candidates will either go to the next round to the interview stage of the process or be dropped. 

A photograph the candidate attending the test is taken by the web centre and attached to the report which ensures the security and authenticity of the process.

“The NST process will ensure that the nurses do not have to travel to different locations to attend the interview process which will now start only after NST clears the candidates for the next round, ” said Vishal Bali, CEO Wockhardt Hospital Group.

Developed in association with Careers India, a company which has made a mark in the area of the online workforce assessment in the industry, the NST has been compiled by professionals selected by Wockhardt. The Group has tied up with more than 3000 web centres across the country where the candidates can take the test.
