Soon the small town of Talbotton, Georgia will have a Telemedicine project to benefit residents of the town. The initiative is part of the Georgia Rural Health Initiative, which is aimed to provide healthcare services in rural areas. The network uses advanced computer and video equipment to link patients with doctors hundreds of miles away. The Valley Healthcare System in Talbotton is one of more than 30 Telemedicine sites across the state.
