Vaidam Health has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Health, Vanuatu. The agreement establishes a structured pathway for patients from the Pacific island nation to access advanced and affordable medical treatment across leading Indian hospitals.
The partnership is designed to enhance the entire continuum of cross-border healthcare — from the initial medical consultation to travel coordination, treatment planning, and post-treatment follow-up. By creating a streamlined referral mechanism, the collaboration is expected to bring greater transparency, convenience, and clinical assurance to Vanuatu’s citizens seeking care abroad.
Under the MoU, Vaidam Health will connect patients to India’s top tertiary and quaternary care institutions specialising in cardiology, oncology, orthopaedics, transplantation, neurosurgery, critical care, and other high-demand specialities. Support services will include visa facilitation, interpreter assistance, case management, and dedicated patient-care teams to ensure clarity and comfort throughout the treatment journey.
Speaking on the collaboration, John Still Tari Qetu, Health Minister of Vanuatu, noted that the agreement will significantly expand access to specialised expertise for patients who often require advanced interventions not available locally. He emphasised India’s growing global reputation as a trusted medical destination and expressed confidence that the partnership will help deliver timely, quality care to Vanuatu’s population.
Reinforcing this vision, Pankaj Chandana, Co-Founder of Vaidam Health, said the MoU marks an important milestone in building dependable cross-border healthcare networks. “Our goal is to provide a compassionate and structured pathway for patients travelling to India for treatment. Working closely with the Ministry of Health, we aim to establish processes that ensure better outcomes and a seamless care experience,” he stated.
Beyond patient treatment, both parties are exploring broader areas of collaboration, including preventive healthcare initiatives, digital health support, and medical expertise exchange to strengthen capacity-building efforts.
For India’s medical value travel sector, this partnership underscores the increasing reliance of global health systems on India’s clinical capabilities, cost-effectiveness, and mature hospital ecosystem. For Vanuatu, it signals a commitment to expanding healthcare access for its citizens through strategic international partnerships.
The MoU sets the groundwork for a long-term, structured healthcare corridor between India and Vanuatu — one that promises improved outcomes, faster access to specialised care, and a more coordinated model for cross-border patient support.
