As per data shared by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, India recorded 11,466 fresh covid-19 cases in the past 24 hrs. The active caseload in the country stands at 1,39,683, lowest in 264 days. Kerala recorded 7,540 fresh coronavirus infections and 259 deaths on Wednesday, raising the caseload to 50,34,858 and the fatalities to 34,621.

Also, adding on to the good news for foreign travelers, Hong Kong and Vietnam have recognized Bharat Biotech’s Covaxin for international travelers. Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya had recently shared the approval received by Indian vaccines across 96 countries. Canada, the United States of America, Australia, Spain, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Belgium, Russia and Switzerland are among the 96 countries.

Government efforts are on to add on to the list of 96 countries and procure approval from more nations to ease travel for Indians across the globe.
