Prime Minister Narendra Modi has set a target to the country’s health authorities to nip the Covid-19’s third wave in its bud, informed NITI Aayog Member for the Health segment Dr V K Paul. Dr Paul added that the next 100 to 125 will be critical for India’s combat against the Covid-19.
Except for the two American regions, other WHO regions are going from bad to worse; the world is inching towards a third Corona wave. PM Modi has told the health and other officials concerned to treat the situation as a red flag and warning, he said, adding that Modi has set the target to stall the third Corona wave and the same is possible.
Dr Paul’s comments came days after the global health body said that the world was already witnessing the early stages of the Covid-19’s third wave. Also, the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) had observed that the third wave of the pandemic may hit the country in August-end.
