The country’s active caseload has fallen below 1.50 lakh. It stands at 1,47,306 . The present active caseload now consists of 1.34% of India’s total Positive cases, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MHFW) has said.

According to MHFW, 10,584 new daily cases have been recorded in the last 24 hours whereas 13,255 recoveries registered in the last 24 hours. It has led to a net decline of 2,749 cases in the total active caseload. The country’s daily Positivity Rate remains below 3%. India has recorded a steady decline in the number of daily new deaths. Seventy-eight deaths were reported in the last 24 hours.

Also, twenty-one states/UTs have not reported any Covid-19 deaths in the last 24 hours, including Madhya Pradesh, Assam, Rajasthan, Haryana, J&K, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Goa, Himachal Pradesh, Puducherry, Lakshadweep, Manipur, Sikkim, Tripura, Ladakh, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, A&N Islands, D&D and D&N, the ministry said.

As of February 22, 2021 (day 38th of the vaccination drive), the vaccination coverage was 1,17,45,552 through 2,44,877 sessions, as per the provisional report till 8 am. These include 64,51,251 HCWs (1st dose), 12,58,177 HCWs (2nd dose) and 40,36,124 FLWs (1st dose). The second dose of Covid-19 vaccination started on February 13, 2021, for those beneficiaries who have completed 28 days after receipt of the first dose. Vaccination of the FLWs started on Feb 2, 2021.
