Delhi records 227 fresh Covid-19 cases and eight deaths, as the positivity rate stood at 0.28 percent on Thursday. The infection tally has settled at over 6.33 lakh and the death toll mounted to 10,782, the authorities said.

As per the Delhi health department, 81,550 tests were conducted the previous day, including 51,404 RT-PCR and 30,146 rapid antigen tests. The number of tests per million was over 5.3 lakh on Thursday, while the cumulative figure crossed the one-crore mark.

The active cases tally on Thursday dropped to 2,120 from Wednesday’s 2,147.

The health department’s bulletin said, the total number of novel coronavirus cases had climbed to 6,33,276, while the recovery rate was over 97 percent.

The Wednesday’s health bulletin, of the total 9,103 beds in Covid-19 hospitals, 8,099 are vacant. As many as 6,20,374 patients have recovered, been discharged, or migrated out of the city so far, it added.
