Coronavirus in India case

The total cases of the novel coronavirus has crossed 13,000 mark across the country. COVID-19 has claimed the lives of 437 so far, as per the data available at the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

Amid the surging number of coronavirus cases, the government has defended its testing strategy in the wake of fresh criticism, saying the testing ratio is not low, adding there has been no COVID-19 infections in 325 of the 736 districts.


With comprehensive testing holding key to controlling coronavirus, India also received the much-awaited five lakh rapid COVID-19 testing kits from China on Thursday, the government said.

Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain has said a total 1640 COVID-19 cases have been reported in the national capital till today, of which 62 positive cases were reported yesterday. 38 persons have expired till date, 34 are in ICU and 6 are on ventilator. He also said that no case has been reported in last 15 days from 3 locations in the national capital, including Dilshad Garden. 60 containment zones identified till now.


According to Gujarat Health Department, 92 more COVID-19 cases reported in the State, taking total coronavirus cases in the state at 1021, including 74 discharged and 38 deaths: State Health Department
