The speciality hospital chain Paras Healthcare, which has planned expansion across North India in the next three years, has appointed Dr Shankar Narang as the group’s Chief Operating Officer.
Dr Narang will oversee operations at all hospitals and healthcare verticals of Paras Group including Paras Hospitals (the chain of multi super specialty hospitals), Paras Bliss (chain of mother and child care hospitals) and Paras Cancer Centre (chain of specialised cancer care centres).

The exceptional patient reach and positive feedbacks on India basis has been the motivation for this organization to grow and be instrumental in bridging the healthcare gap in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, Dr Narang said in a statement.
With over 15 years of experience in healthcare and operational delivery, Dr Shankar was associated with Fortis and Max Healthcare, among others. Also, he has worked with Paras Hospitals as GM Operations and Quality for five years.
He is expected to lead and streamline operations of the groups hospitals. He will be facilitating the operations, finance and the EBIDTA levels of each unit. The human resource and sales and marketing of the units are aloso expected to be strengthened under his guidance.
The group will be focusing on formulating robust operational systems, cost optimisation and manpower utilisation.
