The Global Indian of the Year 2013 Award was conferred on renowned homeopath Dr Mukesh Batra, Founder-Chairman, Dr Batras, at the 4th Annual India Leadership Conclave & Indian Affairs Business Leadership Awards 2013, hosted by Indian Affairs magazine in association with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs at Hotel Leela in Mumbai.

A Jury comprising eminent personalities, including Network 7 Media Group Chairman Satya Brahma, declared Dr Batra the winner in the Global Indian of the Year 2013 category for his phenomenal contribution in the Healthcare space through Homeopathy. Ratan Tata, Mukesh Ambani and Priyanka Chopra were some of the other eminent personalities who were the recipients of the prestigious titles at the conclave for exceptional contribution in their field of work.

I thank the organizers for an award that accords due and deserving recognition to homeopathy “ the worlds second-largest medical system. In the past decade, homeopathy has been growing from strength to strength in India and across the world. In fact, it is fast becoming the first choice of treatment for an increasing number of people in India.” said Dr Mukesh Batra.

Dr Batra also delivered the Key Note address on Recent Innovations in Homeopathy: Can India lead the world market “ A case study of Dr Batras at the awards ceremony, which was attended by more than 200 industry stalwarts from diverse sectors across the country. The theme of the 2013 annual leadership conclave was New India, Agenda for Change.

Beginning as a modest clinic in Mumbai in 1982, Dr Batras Positive Health Clinic is today the worlds largest homeopathic healthcare corporate with 112 clinics spread across 52 cities in India, Dubai and UK. Dr Batra has created ample awareness and popularized the goodness of homeopathy via his writings in newspapers, magazines and books, and appearances on TV programmes.

A profound proponent in the joy of giving, Dr Batra set up the Positive Health Foundation, which provides free homeopathic treatment to over 20,000 patients, through free clinics across 52 cities.
