The Uttar Pradesh government has alerted the State Health Department in the wake of the swine flu outbreak in Europe and America and directed the medical check-up of people arriving from Nepal and at airports in the State.


At a meeting held in this regard, Principal Secretary Pradeep Kumar Shukla said that directives had been issued to the Health Department officials to ensure check up of people coming from Nepal through three border areas of the State. “We, we have also directed to ensure health check up of passengers coming at Lucknow and Varanasi airports, where international flights arrive,” the Principal Secretary said. A special alert had been sounded in 10 districts
