What Divi’s Q2 FY27 results show

The company’s board approved the unaudited standalone and consolidated results at a meeting in Hyderabad on 7 November 2026, which ran from 10.30 am to 11.40 am. Price Waterhouse Chartered Accountants LLP issued unmodified limited-review reports on both statements. In its exchange filing and press release, Divi’s reported these consolidated figures for the July–September quarter:

  • Revenue from operations: ₹3,676 crore, up 35.4% from ₹2,715 crore
  • Total income: ₹3,770 crore, against ₹2,860 crore a year earlier
  • Profit before tax: ₹1,505 crore, up from ₹912 crore
  • Profit after tax: ₹1,127 crore, up 63.6% from ₹689 crore
  • Basic earnings per share (not annualised): ₹42.49, against ₹25.97
  • Foreign-exchange gain: ₹24 crore, compared with a gain of ₹63 crore a year earlier

Against the June 2026 quarter, revenue from operations rose from ₹3,080 crore and profit after tax from ₹902 crore. Other API producers have also reported this season, including Aarti Drugs’ Q2 FY27 jump in profit on API and formulation growth.

How did standalone and first-half numbers compare?

On a standalone basis, Divi’s posted total income of ₹3,735 crore for the quarter, against ₹2,806 crore a year earlier, and profit after tax of ₹1,140 crore, up from ₹696 crore. Standalone revenue from operations was ₹3,647 crore and profit before tax was ₹1,520 crore.

For the half year ended 30 September 2026, consolidated total income rose to ₹6,907 crore from ₹5,389 crore and profit after tax to ₹2,029 crore from ₹1,234 crore. First-half revenue from operations was ₹6,756 crore, against ₹5,125 crore, while the forex gain narrowed to ₹17 crore from ₹102 crore. Standalone first-half profit after tax was ₹2,031 crore, up from ₹1,253 crore.

The standalone balance sheet showed inventories of ₹5,325 crore at 30 September 2026, against ₹3,711 crore at 31 March 2026, while property, plant and equipment rose to ₹7,451 crore from ₹6,514 crore. Cash paid for property, plant and equipment in the first half was ₹871 crore.

What does Divi’s manufacture?

A note to the results says the company makes active pharmaceutical ingredients, intermediates and nutraceutical ingredients, treated as a single reportable business segment. The consolidated statement includes two subsidiaries, Divis Laboratories (USA) Inc. and Divi’s Laboratories Europe AG. Dr Kiran S Divi, whole-time director and chief executive officer, signed the results in Hyderabad.

The print comes as Indian drugmakers expand API capacity and clear overseas inspections, including Alkem’s Mandva API plant clearing a USFDA audit with zero Form 483 observations. It also follows other large Q2 updates such as Aurobindo Pharma’s Q2 FY27 record revenue and 32.5% profit rise.

Why Divi’s Q2 results matter for India’s API industry

Divi’s is one of India’s largest listed API and intermediates manufacturers, so a sharp rise in quarterly sales and profit is a closely watched signal for the export-oriented ingredients business. India as a whole saw pharma exports rise 4.9% to $16.14 billion in the first half of FY27, with Europe and ASEAN offsetting softer US shipments.
