New facility aims to redefine child healthcare delivery through integrated specialist services, family-centric care coordination, and a day-care-first model
Patient-centric paediatric healthcare infrastructure in India, Lavender Lane has announced the launch of its flagship paediatric super-speciality care centre in Sector 90, Noida. Scheduled to open in July 2026, the facility aims to address longstanding gaps in the delivery of specialised healthcare services for children.
Founded by paediatric haemato-oncologist and bone marrow transplant physician Dr. Silky Jain, Lavender Lane is designed around a core principle: children require dedicated healthcare environments and treatment pathways that differ fundamentally from those developed for adults.
Backed by a Singapore-based family office, the venture enters the market at a time when demand for specialised paediatric services is increasing, driven by rising awareness of childhood disorders, growing incidence of chronic paediatric conditions, and evolving expectations around patient experience.
Reimagining Paediatric Care Delivery
Unlike conventional paediatric departments housed within multi-speciality hospitals, Lavender Lane has adopted a standalone, integrated care model that brings multiple paediatric specialities under one roof. The centre will offer services across paediatric haemato-oncology, pulmonology, neurology, gastroenterology, endocrinology, cardiology, nephrology, and developmental-behavioural paediatrics, supported by in-house diagnostics and an on-site pharmacy.
The model is designed to reduce fragmentation in care delivery by enabling cross-speciality collaboration and streamlining treatment planning through a dedicated care navigator system.
Each child’s treatment journey will be led by a senior specialist, with multidisciplinary teams coordinating care plans before engaging with families. According to the organisation, this approach aims to reduce the burden on caregivers, who often navigate multiple consultations and treatment pathways independently.
Advancing the Day-Care Treatment Model
A key differentiator for the facility is its emphasis on a day-care-first approach for clinically appropriate treatments. Procedures such as chemotherapy, transfusions, infusions, and monitored interventions will be delivered in outpatient settings whenever possible, reducing the need for prolonged hospital stays.
Industry experts note that day-care models have the potential to improve patient experience while optimising resource utilisation, enhancing operational efficiency, and reducing healthcare costs.
Designing Infrastructure Around Children
The centre also reflects a growing trend towards experience-led healthcare design. From ambient lighting and dedicated play zones to child-friendly clinical spaces, the infrastructure has been developed specifically to minimise anxiety and create a more supportive environment for young patients and their families.
“Children have unique medical, emotional, and developmental needs that require dedicated healthcare ecosystems,” said Dr. Silky Jain, Founder of Lavender Lane. “Our vision is to build an environment where specialised care is coordinated, accessible, and centred around both the child and the family.”
Dr. Jain brings over 15 years of experience in paediatric haemato-oncology and bone marrow transplantation, with training from Maulana Azad Medical College, Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute, and Great Ormond Street Hospital, London.
Implications for India’s Paediatric Healthcare Ecosystem
The launch of Lavender Lane reflects a broader shift within India’s healthcare sector towards speciality-focused delivery models and patient-centric infrastructure investments. While dedicated paediatric hospitals remain limited across the country, increasing private investment and demand for specialised services are creating opportunities for innovative care models.
With the National Capital Region serving as its initial market, Lavender Lane aims to establish a blueprint for integrated paediatric healthcare that balances clinical outcomes, operational efficiency, and family experience.
As India’s healthcare ecosystem continues to evolve, specialised facilities such as Lavender Lane could play a pivotal role in expanding access to advanced paediatric care while setting new benchmarks for coordinated, child-focused treatment delivery.
