OpenAI has acquired AI healthcare startup Torch Health in a deal valued at over $100 million, marking a significant step in the company’s expansion into digital health technologies.
The development was confirmed by Torch Health co-founder Adrian Aoun, who said the company would now integrate its healthcare-focused AI solutions into OpenAI’s platforms. Torch Health was built with the goal of improving access to healthcare services through intelligent digital tools.
Torch Health was originally founded with a mission to make healthcare more accessible and affordable for large populations by using artificial intelligence to simplify care navigation, patient support and medical information access.
Officials said the integration of Torch Health’s technology into OpenAI’s broader AI ecosystem will allow its healthcare tools to reach a much larger global user base. The move is expected to accelerate the use of AI-driven solutions for patient guidance, health information support and care coordination.
