Open AI ChatGPT Health
New feature offers a protected digital space for users to manage medical information and prepare for care

OpenAI has introduced a new feature called ChatGPT Health, aimed at helping people better understand and manage their health through secure, private and AI-assisted conversations.

The announcement was made by Nick Turley, Head of ChatGPT, who said the new experience provides a dedicated and protected space within ChatGPT where users can discuss health-related questions, connect medical records securely and interact with healthcare apps they already use.

ChatGPT Health has been designed with enhanced privacy and security controls to safeguard personal health information. According to OpenAI, the platform was developed in close collaboration with hundreds of physicians to ensure that health conversations are informative, responsible and user-friendly.

The new feature builds on the growing use of ChatGPT by people who already rely on the tool to understand test results, prepare for doctor visits and make sense of medical information. By offering a specialised health environment, the company aims to make these interactions more structured and secure.

Initially, access to ChatGPT Health is being rolled out to a small group of users from a waitlist. OpenAI plans to expand availability gradually over the coming weeks.

The launch marks OpenAI’s entry into a more focused digital health support space, reflecting the increasing role of AI in improving access to health information and personal care planning.
