This new solution integrates real-time health insights into India’s corporate wellness and group insurance ecosystem

Policybazaar for Business (PBFB) has announced the launch of AiSHA, an AI-powered Smart Face Scan and Health Assistant designed to strengthen preventive healthcare adoption among corporate employees in India. Positioned as an industry-first innovation, AiSHA brings real-time, non-invasive health monitoring into everyday employee wellness programs, marking a shift from reactive care to continuous health awareness.

Built for enterprise deployment, AiSHA enables employees to capture clinically relevant health vitals through a 30-second smartphone-based facial scan. Using remote photoplethysmography (rPPG) technology, the solution analyses subtle changes in facial blood flow via the smartphone camera—without any physical contact or wearable devices.

Through a single scan, employees can access key health indicators, including heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), respiration rate, oxygen saturation (SpO₂), blood pressure trends, stress index, facial age, and emotional markers. By embedding such monitoring into daily routines, the platform aims to transform preventive health checks from annual events into habitual, data-driven practices.

Expanding the Scope of Non-Invasive Health Intelligence

AiSHA has been architected as an evolving platform. Future upgrades are expected to enable non-invasive assessment of additional parameters such as haemoglobin levels, vascular health and ageing, perfusion index, as well as dermatological, dental, and oral health indicators. Over time, these capabilities could support early identification of conditions such as jaundice and cataracts, helping reduce disease progression and associated claims burden.

According to Sajja Praveen Chowdary, Head, Policybazaar for Business, the introduction of AiSHA reflects a strategic shift in how corporate health benefits are designed and delivered. He highlighted that corporate healthcare has traditionally focused on managing hospitalisation after illness occurs, with limited emphasis on early detection. By integrating AI-driven preventive insights, PBFB aims to enable timely medical intervention, potentially reducing hospital stays and avoiding hospitalisation in certain cases—ultimately supporting better claims management for employers and insurers alike.

A Unified Preventive-Care Ecosystem

Beyond vitals monitoring, AiSHA integrates personalised lifestyle recommendations, stress and sleep analytics, chronic condition tracking, maternity and child-care journeys, along with access to doctor consultations and diagnostic services. This positions the platform as a comprehensive preventive-care ecosystem rather than a standalone wellness tool.

For insurers, AiSHA offers the potential for more nuanced, consent-driven workforce health insights at a time when claim ratios are under pressure and disease patterns are evolving. Continuous health data can support more accurate risk assessment and enable targeted wellness interventions aligned with insurer guidelines.

Redefining Corporate Health Engagement

The launch reinforces Policybazaar for Business’ broader vision of reshaping engagement across employers, employees, and insurers through data-led, preventive healthcare solutions. As organisations increasingly prioritise employee wellbeing alongside cost efficiency, AI-driven platforms like AiSHA signal a new phase in corporate health strategy—one focused on early action, smarter underwriting, and sustainable healthcare outcomes.
