Hypertension Surge:


  • The institute noted a significant surge in patients suffering from hypertension in 2023 compared to the previous year.
  • In the January-December 2022 period, Jindal Naturecure Institute treated 3,165 patients with hypertension.
  • This number increased to 3,928 from January-December 2023, marking a substantial spike of approximately 24.1%.
  • The rise was observed consistently across both male and female patients.

Insight into Diabetes Cases:

  • In the same period, the institute treated a total of 4,111 diabetes patients, comprising 2,465 males and 1,646 females.
  • The age range of diabetes patients spanned from 30 to 79 years.

Dr. Babina NM, the Chief Medical Officer of Jindal Naturecure Institute, stresses the urgency of addressing lifestyle issues as the institute observes a significant rise in hypertension cases. She advocates for preventive measures, patient education, and overall well-being through naturopathy treatment. Dr. Babina underscores the institute’s commitment to fostering a culture of proactive health management, ensuring effective treatment, and providing patients with the necessary knowledge and tools for leading healthy lives.

Predominantly affecting individuals aged 30-80 years, hypertension cases show a gender distribution of 47.7% among males and 52.3% among females. Dr. Babina emphasises the need to strengthen hypertension control programs in India and promote healthy lifestyles to mitigate the risks of hypertension and diabetes. Strategies include regular physical activity, balanced diets, minimising salt and sugar intake, managing stress effectively, and prioritising regular health check-ups.


Established in 1978 by Dr. Sitaram Jindal, Jindal Naturecure Institute offers drugless treatment through naturopathy, yoga, diet, physiotherapy, and acupuncture. The facility spans 120 acres of lush green campus, treating over 15,000 patients annually with a capacity of over 550 beds, 40% of which are allocated to economically weaker sections of society.
