Desh Deepak Verma, Former Member of IAS and Former Secretary General of Rajya Sabha, has been proposed as the new President of the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Gorakhpur.
In the UP cadre, Verma is an IAS officer from the 1978 batch. After serving all his terms, he resigned as Secretary-General of the Rajya Sabha in August 2021. At the state and federal level, he has held a lot of significant roles, including head of the UP Electricity Regulatory Commission (UPERC).
