MBBS seats in Haryana

The number of medical colleges in Haryana has increased by two-fold in the last eight years. While the total number of MBBS seats in the state has also increased to 1735 from 700 in the year 2014.

Haryana has witnessed a new era of growth in the health sector since 2014. All this has become possible because of the regulatory reforms brought by the Chief Minister.

The Chief Minister firmly believes that in any country or society, the health of people is of utmost importance, and while realising the same, since 2014, Sh. Manohar Lal had certainly made radical changes in the health services, which not only helped the State Government to successfully combat the COVID-19 pandemic but has also played a pivotal role in realising his vision of ‘Swasth Haryana’.

Some concrete steps are being made for setting up a medical college in every district and the aim is to increase the number of graduate seats in colleges of the state from 3035 to 2025.

In both his tenures, the focus of the Manohar Government did not remain limited to increasing the number of medical colleges only as the number of dental colleges, homeopathic colleges, nursing colleges, and schools, etc, have increased in the state.

The tireless efforts of the Chief Minister augment the health sector by providing better infrastructure and facilities across the state along with ensuring quality treatment facilities to the last mile citizen.

Recently Haryana has awarded the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Good Governance Award-2021 for setting up critical care ICUs in medical colleges in the state.
