Covid-19 Updates: India Reports 35,499 New Cases; Vaccination Coverage Crosses 50.86 Crore

The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) said that India reported 35,499 new cases in the last 24 hours. It added that the country’s active caseload is 4,02,188 and the active cases constitute 1.26% of the total cases.
According to MoHFW, India’s cumulative recovery count is 3,11,39,457 so far as 39,686 patients recovered during the last 24 hours, and the recovery rate stands at 97.40%. The country’s weekly positivity rate is 2.35%, and the daily positivity rate is 2.59%, which is less than 3% for the last 14 days.

India administered 50.86 crore vaccine doses so far under the nationwide vaccination drive, and conducted 48.17 crore tests until now.
