India posted 42,625 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours. The country logged 36,668 recoveries during the period leading the cumulative recovery tally to 3,09,33,022. At present, India’s active caseload is 4,10,353 and the active cases now comprise 1.29% of the total cases of the deadly viral disease; its recovery rate currently is 97.37%.

The country’s reported weekly positivity rate remains below 5% as it stands at 2.36%, and the daily positivity rate is 2.31%. India administered 48.52 crore vaccine jabs so far under the nationwide vaccination drive, and conducted 47.31 crore tests.
