India reported the lowest daily new cases of 1.32 lakh in 54 days maintaining the declining trend in new cases. The country’s active caseload further declined to 18,95,520, below 20 lakhs after 43 days. Its active cases decrease by 1,30,572 in the last 24 hours.

The country has registered 2,59,47,629 total recoveries across the country so far as 2,55,287 patients recovered during the last 24 hours. Recoveries continue to outnumber daily new cases for 19 successive days. Also, the recovery rate continues to increase, at 92.09% today.

While the Weekly Positivity Rate currently pegged at 8.64%, Daily Positivity Rate dips to 6.62%, less than 10% for 8 consecutive days. The testing capacity substantially ramped up as 34.67 crore total tests conducted. Besides, 21.6 crore vaccine doses administered so far under nationwide vaccination drive.
