As Uttar Pradesh registered 9,695 new Covid-19 cases and 37 additional deaths on Friday amid a renewed spike in Corona infections, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has reportedly decided to call an all-party meeting next week on the Corona situation in India’s largest state by population.

Chief Minister Adityanath and Governor Anandiben Patel will reportedly meet leaders of political parties on 11 April. They will also hold a meeting with mayors and religious leaders for discussing the situation and will seek their participation to spread Covid Appropriate Behaviours.


The northern state’s Covid-19 caseload increased to 6,63,991 as 9,695 fresh cases were reported. It has also registered 37 deaths taking the death toll to 9,039. Uttar Pradesh now has 48,306 Corona active cases as 6,06,646 Covid patients have recovered until now, according to Amit Mohan Prasad, UP government’s Additional Chief Secretary – Health.
