220 ICU Beds

Satyendar Jain, Health Minister of the Government of NCT of Delhi has said that the government has issued orders for adding 220 ICU beds for coronavirus patients in 33 private hospitals.

According to Jain, the count of non-ICU beds in these private hospitals will be increased by 838. Delhi’s 16 private hospitals have already run out of ICU beds with ventilators for patients suffering from Covid-19 amidst a spike in the novel coronavirus cases as per government data.


As per the government’s ‘Delhi Corona’ application, of the 787 ICU beds with ventilators in state-run and private sector hospitals in Delhi, 298 were already occupied by 4 PM on Wednesday. Also, of the 1,229 Covid-19 ICU beds without ventilators, 393 are full.
