The pandemic has opened the door to latest technologies such as cloud, artificial intelligence and machine learning, data analytics etc. for developing solutions related to advanced public health, says Sridhar Gadhi, Founder & Executive Chairman, Quantela.

Before Covid we as Quantela built smart city platform most of the cities all over the world used our platform as part of smart city mission there are several verticals it could be parking, lighting, safety security public health was never focused as a used case so when this Covid happened immediately we have put together a technology platform levering the command and control platform to fight Covid so during and later what are the challenges and how the cities and countries overcome first of all to fight Covid you need to integrate different departments it could be police department who are setting up containment zone or it could be public health departments who has lot of information, it could be hospitals who are providing actual beds and infrastructure , it could be quarantine centre, it could be disaster management group the first thing is integration of different department into single platform so that city officials or the government officials can take the holistic view of the entire situation and take the decision and data flow happens between all the departments.

Second once you have all this data which becomes easy to predict where the next Covid situation would be or how the healthcare system will affect for example is hospitals are enough in that particular area based on the prediction of how many cases would come in next coming month so the prediction will be very helpful third not only integrating different departments into single platform for a holistic view there are most of the cities developed field responder app as well as citizen app so field responder app is for the healthcare workers wherever they are to enter the data into the system so that it is integrated at field level and citizens to consume the data and get the service to fight Covid.
