
Of the 4,000 schoolteachers tested, 13 teachers have been found positive for Covid-19, Amritsar Civil Surgeon Charanjit Singh has said.
“COVID-19 cases have increased in the last 2-3 days. A sampling at schools has been made mandatory. Out of 4,000 school teachers tested, 13 have been found to be positive,” Singh informed.

Singh added: “Covid -19 cases have increased in the last 2-3 days. A sampling at schools has been made mandatory. Out of 4,000 school teachers tested, 13 have been found to be positive. Concerned schools are now closed for 48 hours for sanitization.”

Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has ordered fresh restrictions on indoor gathering to 100 and outdoor to 200 people from March 1. He has also issued a series of directions for curbing the further rise of the viral infection, because of growing concern over the rise of Covid-19 trend in the state.
