All speculations regarding NEET 2020 and JEE-mains exam dates end finally as HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal has announced the same. In a live webinar, he announced that the NEET 2020 exam would be conducted on July 26, 2020.
JEE Main 2020 exam will be held between July 18-23, while JEE-Advanced will in August, the Minister said.
Both the exams-NEET and JEE were supposed to be held in May-end but due to lockdown extension, the dates were pushed further. In his earlier webinar, the Minister had indicated that the exam could be held in June.
AS per the National Testing Agency that conducts these exams, over 15.93 lakh candidates have applied for NEET 2020, while more than 9 lakhs have registered to appear in JEE Main 2020.
The admit card is expected to be released at least a week before the exam dates. Candidates are advised to check the official website on the regular basis.
Strict guidelines are likely to be followed in exam centres this time amidst Coronavirus spread . Students could be asked to follow precautionary measures like wear masks.
