In a bid to strengthen healthcare delivery mechanism of Delhi, the State Government is planning to set up more mohalla clinics across the National Capital. With this objective, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will inaugurate 100 mohalla clinics on Saturday.

Currently, 201 such clinics are operational across the state, while 30 others are operating in the evenings.

The Government plans to make 500 mohalla clinics functional by year-end.

“At least 10 persons have donated plots for free to start the clinics.

The work is also on to open the clinics at three metro stations, five vegetable markets and three interstate bus terminals,” an official in the health department was quoted as saying. According to health minister Satyendar Jain, all the mohalla clinics are going to be covered under CCTV surveillance.
